Healthy living can be as simple as dinner with your favorite person. Since Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, I thought I would research Valentine’s Day
In A.D. 496, Pope Gelasius I of Rome declared February 14 as Valentine’s Day.
Handmade valentines, which were probably the first-ever greeting cards, were seen in the 16th century, while the mass production of cards began in the 1800s, the Library of Congress explains. Valentine’s Start Day.
The oldest known Valentine was written in prison Oldest Valentine
I can find only one other Holiday that predates Valentine’s Day, and probably to know one’s surprise is Christmas, The first ‘official’ recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine (he was the first Christian Roman Emperor).
The two oldest Holidays are about love so show your mate, or family love, and make dinner at home. I have an accompanying dish that will go good with lamb. beef, or fish.
You will need a 3-inch piece of cucumber diced, 1/4 of a small yellow onion chopped,, 2 tablespoons of fresh mint leaves chopped, 1/2 cup of loosely packed parsley leaves chopped, 1 1/2 vine ripe tomatoes chopped, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, mix all the ingredients and serve with your protein. If you have a blender you can avoid all the chopping and combine all ingredients and pulse to desired consistency. Enjoy
